Photo Challenge Day 21: Locomotion

Remember the good ol' days when we rode horses to get places? Neither do I. But I would like to! I think horses are more of a hobby now than a necessity. This one had a blue eye! Totally made my heart jump when it looked at me.

Locomotion - The act of moving from place to place. Birds are a perfect example from moving place to place.

Twin Castles

Bold Board
This is a Guatemalan chess set, that was a gift, from my Grandma and Grandpa. One of my most valued possessions. The top picture is of two castles, the bottom picture is of the board itself.

Photo Challenge Day 15: Cold

This is an older picture I took. Now, an old, broken down house is not something I would think of as "cold" right off the bat...but the colors, the disarray give a feeling of abandonment and chaos. Cold, by one definition is "not affectionate, cordial, or friendly; unresponsive", which I think describes this picture in a new light.

Photo Challenge Day 14: Hot

Abstract: Over the Rainbow

I had a lot of fun with this word this morning! Can you tell? I lit one of my kerosene lamps and went a little crazy. I don't have names for the other two yet, but enjoy :)

Missouri may not have mountains like my beloved Utah, but they do have trees! Lots and lots of trees.

I Will Be Here in the Morning
My parents have lived in Missouri for almost five years now I think...It might be six. I'm not really sure, but it took me until this summer to realize that the vine they have growing on their deck is Wisteria. I love Wisteria!

Photo Challenge Day 9: A Road

I'll be honest, this isn't my most favorite picture, but it is my most favorite road. John Deere Road has this awesome bridge that makes the whole gravely mess feel magical.
Or creepy. Some people think the bridge is straight out of a horror movie.

Photo Challenge Day 8: Shoes

These are a pair of boots that belong to my brother (I stole them while he wasn't home, haha). All the colors together looked way cool.

Shoes. Who doesn't love shoes?
These old, satin, yellowing shoes belonged to my great-grandmother, fondly known as, Gram. So dainty.

Photo Challenge Day 5: Micro/Macro

Thistles: they are the queen of all weeds. A lot of people hate them, but I think they are so pretty! Most of them have exploded into seeds like the ones above.

I was in my dad's workshop and I was looking for something completely different and this wrench caught my eye. I obviously thought it was awesome enough to photograph.
